Fed’s Daly just spoke out a few minutes ago: further policy tightening may be necessary.
Pay attention to the word “further.” Central banks don’t make small talk. Those three words are like the dealer at the table plainly saying the chips on the table will have to be pulled back. Liquidity can flood the place when it’s loose, but when it tightens, even the mop has to be wrung dry. And now, the person at the faucet has said outright that there’s no intention of turning the flow back up anytime soon.
For assets like $BTC that are most sensitive to funding conditions, this is a hawkish signal—a splash of cold water, not a warm breeze. But don’t rush to make a final call. Daly’s statement includes the word “may,” and that leaves room for interpretation; both bulls and bears can make what they want of it.
My own view is straightforward: this isn’t something to ignore. When officials talk hawkish, no one knows how hard their words will land until they act. I won’t guess which way prices will go, and nobody gets it right every time. Before the cards are revealed, managing the chips you already have is far more sensible than rushing to make a move.
The thing to watch next is whether other Fed officials adopt the same tone. If they keep sounding hawkish, this cold wind won’t be a minor matter.

The above is solely my personal observation and does not constitute investment advice. The cryptocurrency market is highly volatile; please assess the risks for yourself.
