It was up about 15% in 24 hours, with roughly $23.7 million in trading volume. From its September 28 low of $1.423, it had gained about 59% in less than ten days; its lowest point in July was $0.706.
That same day, Stargate’s merger into LayerZero took effect on Binance. At 11:00 (UTC+8) on October 6, Binance delisted all STG spot trading pairs, and at 11:30 it suspended STG deposits and withdrawals. STG was automatically converted to ZRO at a rate of 1 STG = 0.08634 ZRO; existing ZRO trading pairs were unaffected. STG perpetual contracts had already been settled and delisted on September 24.
Buybacks are also continuing. On-chain monitoring shows that LayerZero bought about 162,000 ZRO (worth roughly $347,000) on October 6, bringing total buybacks to around 2.538 million tokens. Another major development is the ATLAS trading infrastructure, which the project says will launch before the end of the year, though no mainnet date has been announced.
On the supply side, October 20 is the date to watch: according to DefiLlama data, around 23.63 million ZRO tokens will unlock that day for core contributors and strategic partners. Over the same period, $BTC was worth about $86,600 and was up roughly 1% in 24 hours.
