Have you ever imagined generating an automated trading strategy just by saying one sentence, without writing any code?
Binance made this happen yesterday.
On October 5, Binance officially launched its “Binance Intelligence” suite of AI products, whose flagship product is called Binance AI Pro.
What can it do? Describe a financial idea in plain language—for example, “Monitor BTC for me and alert me if it drops below 83,000,” or “Build me a diversified portfolio of BTC and ETH.” The AI will automatically generate a visual trading strategy and an automated workflow.
No coding required, no programming knowledge needed—you just need to be able to talk.
How do you use it, exactly?
On desktop, the screen is split: your conversation with AI is on the left, and a flowchart of the strategy AI generates is on the right. Say something, and AI maps out the complete trading logic on the right—when to buy and sell, position size, and where to set stop-loss and take-profit levels. It’s all clear at a glance.
On mobile, you interact through a chat interface. The full visual workflow is available on desktop.
Strategies are optimized using Binance’s own market data, and live strategies run continuously on Binance, 24 hours a day.
But there are a few important limitations you should know about.
First, AI can’t directly access your money. Every live strategy runs through a dedicated subaccount that you fund manually. AI can trade only within that subaccount and can’t transfer money out. This is a fundamental safety measure.
Second, you can review and edit strategies before they’re executed. AI-generated strategies don’t run automatically—you can inspect and adjust them first, then execute them when you’re satisfied. Advanced users can also test strategies in simulated trading before deploying them live.
Third, it isn’t free. The Standard plan is free and includes a certain amount of monthly credits. The Advanced plan costs 19.99 USDC per month and unlocks live trading deployment, simulated trading, and more AI model options.
The rollout will begin in late October and happen gradually, so it won’t be available to everyone right away.
What does this mean for retail traders?
In the past, quantitative trading was the preserve of institutions. You needed to know Python, backtesting, and deployment—it was simply too much for one person to handle.
Now, all you have to do is say a sentence, and AI will build a strategy for you. The barrier has gone from “knowing how to code” to “knowing how to talk.”
Is this a good thing or a bad thing?
There are two sides to it.
The upside: retail traders finally have access to the same tools as institutions. Institutions used to be able to use quantitative strategies, while retail traders could only manually chase rallies and sell off in a panic. Now retail traders can automate their trading too.
The downside: having a tool doesn’t mean you’ll make money. AI can help you generate strategies, but it can’t guarantee they’ll be profitable. Markets change—a strategy that makes money today could lose money tomorrow. You still need to judge and adjust AI-generated strategies yourself.
Let’s talk about the psychology behind this.
Think back:
In the past, when you saw others making money with quantitative trading, you thought, “I can’t code, so I can’t do that.”
Now Binance has launched AI Pro, and you think, “I can be a quantitative trader too,” and immediately want to subscribe.
This is a classic case of “tool worship”—thinking that having a good tool means you’ll make money.
But think about it: With the same tools, why do some people make money while others lose? Because tools are just tools. The person using them is what really determines whether they profit or lose.
AI can help you generate strategies, but it can’t help you judge the market. AI can automate your trading, but it can’t control your emotions. You may still chase a price spike or stubbornly hold on when you should cut your losses.
Tools lower the barrier to entry, but they don’t make things easier.
So what should you do now?
It depends on your situation:
If you want to try AI Pro, wait for its launch in late October and start with the free plan. Don’t subscribe to the Advanced plan or jump straight into live trading. Try simulated trading for a while first to see whether AI-generated strategies are reliable, then decide whether to spend money.
If you already trade manually, don’t abandon your own judgment just because AI is available. AI can be a helpful tool for monitoring and execution, but you still need to make the final decisions yourself.
If you think “AI trading guarantees profits,” wake up. No tool can guarantee you’ll make money. AI-generated strategies can lose money too—and losses may come faster than with manual trading, because automated trading has no emotions and doesn’t hesitate. When it’s time to cut a loss, it does so in one swift move.
One last thing:
Binance has launched AI Pro, which lets you generate trading strategies in plain English for 19.99 USDC per month. Retail traders finally have access to the same quantitative tools as institutions.
But tools don’t guarantee profits. AI can help you generate strategies, but it can’t help you judge the market or control your emotions. You can still lose money.
Don’t FOMO just because there’s a new tool. Try the free plan first and test it with simulated trading to see if it’s reliable. Then decide whether to spend money.
Will you subscribe to AI Pro? A. Yes, I’ll give it a try. B. No, I’ll keep trading manually. C. I’ll wait to see how it works for others first. Be honest in the comments.
