$XAG Saudi Arabia restores 5.8 million barrels per day of capacity via the East-West pipeline ... How were markets affected?
Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman announced that the East-West pipeline had restored its operating capacity to around 5.8 million barrels per day as of Tuesday morning, a move that strengthens the Kingdom’s ability to transport crude oil to export ports on the Red Sea coast.
The minister said during a discussion session at the Made in the Gulf 2026 Forum and Exhibition in Manama that the Kingdom had restored the pipeline to this level of operating capacity.
The East-West pipeline is one of Saudi Arabia’s most important oil transport routes. It connects production areas in the east of the Kingdom with export ports on the Red Sea coast, giving the Kingdom an alternative route for transporting a large share of its output without passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
