Once, I tried to make up for a loss by taking another trade.

Instead of simply accepting my loss and moving on, I wanted to win it back quickly. As a result, I forced an entry I probably wouldn’t have taken with a clear head.

And things got worse.

That day, I understood something simple: when you trade to recover a loss, you’re no longer trading the market. You’re trading your emotions.

Since then, I’ve tried to see a loss as the price of learning, not as a debt the market owes me.

The market doesn’t know I’ve lost.
It owes me nothing.
And trying to win it back at all costs can end up costing far more than the initial loss.
