Ethereum’s Glamsterdam upgrade is set to activate on the Sepolia testnet today, raising the gas limit from 60 million straight to 200 million—more than tripling it. Prysm has released a temporary update so validators automatically apply the new gas limit, in case nodes fail to keep up and things go wrong.
If mainnet follows suit, L2 scaling and high-frequency DEXs will benefit directly. Raising the L1 throughput ceiling is a tangible fundamental improvement, not just hype. First, keep an eye on the testnet for any consensus splits; if things stay stable, then we can talk about the market.
