Michael Burry said stocks are in denial despite the Nasdaq trading near records and expects the stage to last six to nine months. According to BeInCrypto, the “Big Short” investor cited the 2000 dot-com bust and 2008 crisis as precedents, and said the current setup could mirror those slow-moving selloffs.

Burry made the comments in a post on X. He also recently shifted from short positions to put options on Micron, Nvidia and Palantir, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 1.05% to 27,477 on October 5.
