That’s impressive! Institutional accumulation in FIL is becoming increasingly clear!

Open interest rose steadily from $56.5 million to $70 million over 24 hours, up 23.9%. This wasn’t a sudden spike followed by a crash—it built up step by step. The large traders’ long/short ratio climbed from 1.91 to 2.12, with 68% of accounts going long. They’ve kept adding to their positions over the past two days.

Most importantly, the taker buy/sell ratio is 1:1, which suggests the rise wasn’t driven by short liquidations—real money is coming in to buy. Trading volume is also 2.4 times the five-day average.

Compare that with API3: open interest also surged 61.5%, but the large traders’ long/short ratio fell from 2.08 to 1.50. Large traders are pushing the price up while pulling out. FIL’s setup looks much cleaner; you can wait for a pullback before following the move.
