Changer+ launched its self-custodial stablecoin wallet today, supporting USDT and USDC on Ethereum, TRON, BNB Chain, and Solana. New users get three free transactions per device on each of Ethereum, Solana, and BNB Chain. The promotion runs from October 6 to November 6.
The difference is who holds the money. Behind a card payment, banks and clearing institutions keep the books; in a self-custodial wallet, stablecoins remain at the user’s own address throughout, and there’s no third-party column in the on-chain ledger. Gas and blockchains can be hidden; private keys can’t.
The more the interface looks like an ordinary payment app, the less likely users are to remember that the private key is on their own ledger.
