Have you noticed? A few coins have been acting pretty wildly today.

$RLC surged 88% to $0.70, with $37 million in trading volume. A move like that isn’t something retail traders can drive. I spotted this coin around $0.40 and didn’t expect it to explode like this.

Why the sudden surge? I looked into it and couldn’t find any major news. GitHub updates have been infrequent, and the team hasn’t said anything either. $37M in volume isn’t tiny, but it isn’t huge either—it looks more like a market maker trading against itself. Chasing a move like this will probably leave you holding the bag. It’s a trap, not an opportunity.

Meanwhile, $NFP plunged 65%, down to $0.0018, on just $3.8 million in trading volume, which suggests there’s little buying support. I haven’t seen any bad news either. A sudden crash like this could mean insiders know something, or the project team is selling off. A normal pullback wouldn’t be this steep.

BTC is moving sideways around $86,000. The funding rate is 0.0018, which is still healthy, and the broader market hasn’t run into trouble. The thing is, moves in small-cap coins like these have little to do with the broader market—they’re driven by their own factors.

My take: stay away from both. The one that’s rising is bait from market makers, and who knows how much further the one that’s falling could drop. Let’s see if they stabilize first.

What do you think—does RLC still have room to run after this low-volume surge?
