📖 【Midday Review】BTC surged to $87K—why am I in no rush now?
The market looked strong this morning, but what I’m paying more attention to is whether funds keep following after prices rise.
BTC is currently around $86,000, after briefly nearing $87,000 this morning; ETH is around $2,700, and SOL around $120. Overall, the market is still consolidating at elevated levels.
What’s more notable is the divergence in fund flows:
On the latest settlement day, U.S. spot BTC ETFs saw net inflows of about $160 million, while ETH ETFs saw net outflows of about $18.9 million, and SOL ETFs also saw net outflows of about $9.2 million.
My midday take is simple:
BTC being strong doesn’t mean the whole market is strong.
If BTC continues to hold above $85,000 and breaks back above around $87,000, the bullish structure will be further confirmed.
If it pulls back below $85,000 after a surge, I’ll actually be more cautious.
This afternoon, I’m watching just one thing:
Will funds continue to cluster around BTC, or start spreading to ETH, SOL, and altcoins?
