Now even the avatars won’t load; I can’t find the old ones or the new ones. But I’ve been thinking: now that we know what awful people are out there, if we start using tech and a massive army of scripts to mass-post feel-good platitudes and garbage that people love, we’ll end up becoming the very kind of people we hate.
For people struggling to make ends meet, time is the only thing they have of value. Once you put a number on it, time is the one thing they have plenty of. Those with shoes are truly afraid of those without them; when someone’s covered in filth, even kicking them will dirty your shoes.
A $10,000 threshold, or $3,000 a month, is too low. There’ll always be someone who can come up with that. How about raising it to $30,000 or $5,000 a month? If it keeps some people out, that’s something 🤔
