A crypto analyst said early signs of a new bull cycle are beginning to form, with low altcoin risk levels and an expanding business cycle pointing to improving conditions for assets such as ONDO and Chainlink.
What does the risk model say?
Analyst Crypto Capital Ventures said in a video that the altcoin risk score is 15, a low reading. According to the analyst, when the model showed similarly low readings, prices were higher a year later in about 90% of cases. The model combines price volatility, trading volume, and inputs from game theory. The analyst added that the altcoin market capitalization chart remained throughout the year in what they call the “opportunity zone,” and urged their followers to get ready during that period.
A second signal from the business cycle indicator
His business cycle indicator moved into the expansion phase for the first time since September 2020, when the previous expansion began. He described the signal as entirely new and said the contraction before it was the longest on his chart. In his view, this macro reading, combined with the low risk level for altcoins, makes the current window more attractive than either signal on its own.
The stated targets for Chainlink and Ondo
- Chainlink (LINK): The 1.618 Fibonacci extension from its 2021 peak points to around $85 per token, which he described as the base-case scenario. He said reaching a $100 billion market capitalization would require a gain of about 4,000% from current levels.
- Ondo (ONDO): Its all-time high is just above $2, and the 1.618 extension is at $4.50. Ondo is expected to outperform Chainlink, with an easier path to its target.
Key Bitcoin levels
The analyst identified three potential Bitcoin pullback zones:
- The 50-week moving average near $77,000.
- The 20-week average near $71,000.
- The 200-week average near $65,000.
