Bitcoin has recently entered the topping phase.#BTC
This is the first major wave since 57,800, and the market has entered the topping phase (Wave 5 of the first major wave). Structurally, it may form a ending diagonal. It’s not entirely clear how high it will go, but if short positions around 90,000 are liquidated, short covering could push the price to around 92,000. The upper trendline may be breached, but if you’re considering opening short positions, the area near that trendline may be worth considering.
After the first major wave tops out, there should be a correction of the same degree, lasting at least until the end of this year or the beginning of next year. The second major wave will generally retrace to around the bottom of Wave 4 of the first major wave, potentially bringing the price down to $75,000–$78,000.
Once the second major wave is complete, the main upward trend (the third major wave) should begin. I estimate it will continue up to around the previous bull market high of 126,000, likely by May 2027.
