ADA rose 10%, but the market owes no one a break-even price.

On the evening of October 5, CoinDesk reported that ADA had risen 10% over the previous 24 hours, briefly climbing above $0.27. The exact catalyst for the rise remains unclear. This was a record of last night’s market action, not a reason on its own to chase the rally today.

After years of trading, I’ve learned to set my own cost basis aside when making a judgment: it determines my paper gains or losses, but it doesn’t prove that a price level has support. Instead, I look at whether my reasons for holding still hold up, what conditions would invalidate my view, and whether I can withstand a loss on the position. A rebound can be a chance to reassess a plan—not just a reason to keep waiting.

When a coin rebounds, do you first assess the opportunity now, or calculate how far you are from breaking even?
