Charlie Munger once shared a perspective worth remembering:
“Buy outstanding businesses when their prices fall below the 200-week moving average, then hold them patiently.”
And $MSFT is a very clear example.
Microsoft touched the 200-week moving average in June. Since then, the stock has risen by around 50%.
What I take away isn’t that you should buy every time a stock touches the 200-week moving average.
