According to Sina Finance, an Israeli source said the Omani co-pilot Hamam Al-Hamami of a Dubai Aviation passenger jet confessed during trial that his motive was "revenge for Gaza." On October 5 local time, the source said Al-Hamami admitted during a joint multinational interrogation in the United Arab Emirates that choosing to operate the flight to Israel and attempting to crash the aircraft was a long-planned act of revenge.
The body also said an official from Israel's Mossad told cabinet members on October 4 that Al-Hamami had made brief visits in recent years to several countries hostile to Israel. Intelligence agencies are now verifying his travel history to investigate whether a specific organization or individual recruited him. Joint investigators have obtained Al-Hamami's phone and are reviewing its contents, while Israeli officials have not yet reached a conclusion on whether he acted alone.
The United Arab Emirates investigators questioned other crew members at Israel's request and have since ruled them out as suspects. The report said the relevant details have not been confirmed by Israeli or UAE officials.
