【SUI is down 77% and the sentiment is still Greed? Whales have been quietly accumulating】

I just took a look at the SUI data. Interesting stuff.

The price is $ 1.23, up 5.7% over the past 7 days. Doesn’t look impressive, right? But did you notice—the Fear and Greed Index is at 70: Greed. When was the last time it was above 70?

I’m not a data nerd, but there’s one on-chain signal I’ve been keeping an eye on:

A sudden surge in trading volume.

Not just a slight increase—the kind that exceeds 5% of market cap.

What does that mean? I saw this kind of price action back in 2017.

Price goes up on low volume, then suddenly trading volume explodes—either insiders are trading among themselves, or whales are getting out. But SUI is already down 77% from its ATH. With volume surging at this point, who do you think is selling, and who’s buying?

Are retail investors FOMOing in? Unlikely. It’s only up 5% over the past 7 days, and people still remember the bear market.

So who’s making moves?

I can think of two possibilities: either early holders with low-cost coins are changing hands, or whales are accumulating.

Look at that 77% drop—the valuation is pretty low, right? Low enough that some people are asking questions without even looking at the charts. But here’s the thing: a low valuation doesn’t mean it’s about to rally. Whale accumulation is a long process. They’re not going to let you spot the signal and jump right in.

What’s my mindset right now? Honestly, I’m itching to buy. The valuation looks low, and I want in. But my 2021 muscle memory tells me that a low valuation and an imminent rally are two different things.

For now, I’m just watching from the sidelines. I’ve kept some cash ready, but I haven’t made a move.

What about you? Seeing a price level like this, would you dare to dip your toes in? Or are you like me—saying the valuation is low, while your feet are more honest than anyone’s?
