【Still saying NEAR is cheap? You may have missed this number】

A lot of people are saying: "NEAR is only five bucks. It’s down 75% from its peak—how much lower can it go?"

But there’s one number you may have overlooked: the FNG sentiment index has quietly climbed to 70.

That’s right, 70. Just entered greedy territory.

Doesn’t this look familiar? Back in 2021, after some coins had fallen 70%, how many people jumped in saying they were "cheap"—and then what? They got cut in half, then cut in half again. I’m not saying NEAR will repeat that pattern, but the idea of "cheap" has always been a trap in crypto. It makes you ignore what really matters: sentiment.

The FNG weekly average is now 70, and trading volume has surged unusually. What does that tell us? That people are buying—and buying aggressively. But the time I got burned in 2017, the heaviest buying came right before the top. Back then, I also thought things were cheap and that everyone selling was an idiot.

Support is at 4.72, resistance at 5.28, and the market is swinging within a range of just a few dozen cents. BTC dominance at 58.7% also shows that there’s only so much money in the market, with all the excitement concentrated in a handful of places. Those still rushing in at a time like this either genuinely believe in it—or haven’t learned enough from the market yet.

I’m not bearish on NEAR; I’m not qualified to judge its fundamentals. I just want to remind you: with sentiment at 70, have you hedged your risk? Or are you about to run in naked again?
