【Oct. 6 Early-Morning Recap | A Restless Night in Crypto】

Three major developments tonight, each carrying significant weight:

1️⃣ The SEC approved the first 3x leveraged $BTC ETF, $ETH . Previously, the leverage cap for U.S. crypto funds was just 2x. Trading can begin once the registration statement takes effect, further upgrading institutions’ toolkit for going long.

2️⃣ OKXICE, a joint venture between OKX and NYSE parent company ICE, filed with the SEC for TSV, a tokenized stock platform covering 60+ U.S. stocks, including Nvidia, Apple, and Tesla. Its key features: 24/7 trading, instant settlement, and self-custody. A giant is entering the RWA arena.

3️⃣ Hyperliquid perpetuals are now available on the Bloomberg Terminal. The platform also received its first $14.58 million in USDC reserve income, to be used for $HYPE buybacks and burns. Annualized revenue is approaching $193 million.

Separately, Strategy reported $21 billion in digital asset gains for Q3, bringing its total holdings to 848,000 BTC. Geopolitically, tanker attacks in the Strait of Hormuz are occurring frequently, with oil prices and risk aversion remaining short-term variables.

Leveraged ETFs are a double-edged sword—be cautious about chasing a rally.
