Niu Lai dumped 2.58% over 15m, while volume shot up to 3.71x and the Z-score hit 3.69. The market suddenly got a lot less quiet.

Looking at the structure, this seems more like longs deleveraging: price fell, OI was down 0.11% over 15m, and notional OI dropped by 633K. 1h notional OI also contracted by 900K. An OI anomaly percentile of 99.8% is rare—the move ranked #4 across the whole pool, so this isn’t just about Niu Lai.

The close broke below the lower bound of the recent 20-bar 5m range. Aggressive trade delta was -25.1%, and the buy/sell ratio was 0.60, showing clear selling pressure. 24h volume is only 26M and depth is average, so once price breaks here, slippage can come easily.

I’m staying out for now. I’ll reconsider once OI and price stabilize together. The tail end of deleveraging is often more painful than the beginning.
