$ADA On October 5, ADA made one of the strongest moves among major coins: on Binance spot, it hit an intraday high of $0.2768, its highest level since May this year. At 23:10 (UTC+8), it was trading at around $0.269, up about 8.4% in 24 hours and more than 10% from around $0.244 on the morning of October 4. Over the same period, $BTC continued to move within the $84,000–$87,000 range, while ETH gained less than 1%.

The rally is largely attributed to two developments. First, RealFi launched on the Cardano mainnet on October 1. It issued USDrf, a U.S. dollar stablecoin backed by real-world assets, and sUSDrf, a staked version, directing stablecoins toward institutional credit with annualized returns of up to about 9%. Lace Wallet, Liqwid, and SundaeSwap were among the first to integrate it. Second, the next-stage Dijkstra upgrade: its first phase is planned for release between late December 2026 and early 2027, introducing Linear Leios and nested transactions, with the goal of significantly increasing throughput.

On-chain activity has yet to catch up with the price. DefiLlama data shows that daily DEX trading volume on Cardano fell from about $11.74 million on October 1 to around $5.72 million on October 3. RealFi deposits and yields are denominated in U.S. dollars, so direct demand for ADA mainly comes from transaction fees. The U.S. Dollar Index rose to 102.53 on the same day, its highest level since April 2025—a development typically seen as a headwind for crypto assets.

Over a longer period, ADA is up about 46% over the past three months, compared with roughly 37% for BTC, making it the second-best performer among major coins after SOL.
