#spcx Seeing SpaceX rally, many people’s first reaction might be: “That’s it, I’ve missed another opportunity.”
But I’m increasingly convinced that one of the most costly things in investing is sometimes the fear of missing out.
Even a company with strong technological capabilities and a long-term vision can see its share price swing sharply due to an excessive valuation, rising capital expenditures, or changing market expectations.
Especially for a company with a star founder’s aura, market sentiment can easily get ahead of the fundamentals.
When the stock is rising, everyone talks about how big its future could be;
when it pulls back, the market finally starts seriously calculating what it’s worth today.
So I wouldn’t jump in just because of a rally.
I’d first look at whether the catalyst behind the rise is real, whether trading volume is sustained, and how much room for error the current valuation leaves for the future.
A real opportunity isn’t every upward candle—it’s when you understand the rationale and have weighed the risks.
If it were you, would you chase the short-term buzz around SpaceX, or wait for the market to cool down before looking into it?
