At first, it was nothing unusual. $RLC was still hovering around $0.36 and didn’t look like the center of attention.

Then, within a few hours, something changed. The price finally broke above $0.50, but what made the move worth noting was the sequence of events: contract activity multiplied several times over before the session ended.

There’s one detail that’s easy to miss. The long/short ratio, which had previously been above 2, also fell toward 1 as the surge happened. So as activity grew, the mix of positions actually became much more balanced for a while.

Now there’s just one question:

After an explosion in activity like this, does the market still have more to do, or has most of the move already happened?

The latest Binance data suggests the second chapter is only just beginning.

Over the past few hours, Open Interest in $RLC surged from around 4.1 million to 18.4 million contracts. Nearly 4.5x.

And what makes the story even more interesting is that the position mix has now shifted. The Long/Short Ratio, which was previously 2.3, is now below 1, meaning there are now slightly more short accounts than long accounts.

The price is still holding around $0.57, while 24-hour futures volume has surpassed $148 million.

So after the price rose more than 56% in 24 hours, the market isn’t going quiet.

Instead, the number of new positions entering the market is swelling.

In short, the answer to the question from earlier is:

The move isn’t over yet. Now the thing to watch is who gives in first as so many positions start crowding in.
