OKX has filed an application with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to launch a tokenized stock trading platform. OKXICE LLC, a joint venture between OKX and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, plans to seek approval to offer tokenized stocks of the first 63 NYSE-listed companies. The relevant issuers may opt out within 30 days before trading begins. Last month, the SEC paved the way for blockchain-based securities to trade in the United States under a temporary exemption framework. The digital assets must include full shareholder rights, such as dividends and voting rights. The launch of OKXICE's platform depends on the end of the 30-day opt-out period and the fulfillment of other requirements.

3. Metaplanet revises capital allocation policy, plans to allocate up to 90% of assets to BTC
Metaplanet announced a further revision to its capital allocation policy, planning to allocate approximately 85%–90% of its total assets to BTC and approximately 10%–15% to M&A, yield-generating assets, and asset management operations. Related borrowing to hold and acquire additional BTC will generally be kept below approximately 10% of BTC NAV. The company also launched its Net Interest Income Strategy, which aims to invest in assets yielding more than the cost of capital, using financing such as borrowing, perpetual preferred shares, and BitBonds to generate net interest income. As of September 30, the company held 44,000 BTC.
4. Hong Kong plans to submit a bill on a virtual asset service licensing regime in 2026
Hong Kong Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Christopher Hui said that Hong Kong plans to submit a bill to amend the relevant legislation in 2026, establishing a licensing regime for virtual asset trading, custody, advisory, and management services. In addition, Hong Kong’s central gold clearing and settlement system will officially launch in the first quarter of 2027, while Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing will announce details of new renminbi-denominated, physically settled gold futures contracts in 2026.
5. BitMine holds approximately 6.01 million ETH, or 4.9% of total supply, with 84% staked
BitMine said that as of October 4, it held 6,016,414 ETH, approximately 4.9% of Ethereum’s total supply, after purchasing an additional 15,112 ETH over the past week. About 5.067 million ETH has been staked, representing approximately 84% of its ETH holdings. The total value of the company’s holdings, including crypto assets, cash, and marketable securities, is approximately $17.4 billion.
