TechFlow News, Oct. 5: According to market sources, the U.S. Treasury Department has withdrawn its previously proposed crypto regulations targeting unhosted wallets and convertible virtual currency (CVC) mixing services. The proposal was intended to expand monitoring of crypto transactions, including requiring financial institutions to collect and report information related to unhosted wallets and crypto mixing services. Its withdrawal means the proposed monitoring rules will not move forward for now.
