$BTC: Strategy’s Bitcoin stash has reached 848,000, but its buying pace has slowed significantly.
Strategy, the new name for MicroStrategy, reported buying an additional 334.3 BTC over the past week. The company now holds a total of 848,000.3 BTC.
The information was announced today, according to PANews and the company’s filings.
The 334 BTC figure is much smaller than some of its recent purchases, including one occasion when Strategy bought 24,869 BTC worth $2 billion.
A recent analysis predicted that the company would reach 1 million BTC by November 2026, based on a $42 billion fundraising pool through STRC preferred stock.
But at the current pace, it would need to acquire roughly 152,000 more BTC in just the next few weeks. I doubt it will reach that milestone unless it speeds up its purchases.
For long-term BTC holders, this is still a positive signal — one of the world’s largest wallets is still buying consistently, just more slowly than before.
