S&P Global Ratings Launches New Framework: On October 5, S&P Global Ratings officially launched a new risk assessment framework for on-chain lending vaults. Deposits in the sector have reached $10 billion, up from just $1.5 billion two years ago. The framework will assess multiple factors, including credit, liquidity, governance, and blockchain security.


Whale Activity and On-Chain Movements: According to on-chain analysts, the founder of POAP transferred 4,000 ETH (approximately $10.79 million) to the Gemini exchange today. They still hold more than 54,000 ETH.

Ethena (ENA) Unlock and Waiver: StablecoinX and its subsidiaries have signed a waiver with the Ethena Foundation. Effective October 5, the original lockup on their ENA holdings has been permanently lifted, but any subsequent sale or transfer still requires the Foundation’s written approval or is subject to its right of first refusal. Meanwhile, approximately 172 million ENA tokens, worth about $41 million, were unlocked as part of the regular schedule today.


Suilend Scales Back an Ecosystem Product: Suilend, a lending protocol in the Sui ecosystem, announced that it will gradually wind down STEAMM, its token issuance product. The product’s homepage was taken offline today as the team focuses on its core lending business.


Binance Futures Adjustments: On October 5 (UTC), Binance Futures officially delisted several USDT-margined perpetual contracts, including PROMPTUSDT and PUMPBTCUSDT.


Peach Buyback and Burn: Peach, a trading aggregator and asset issuance platform, launched a buyback and burn program totaling 10,000 USDC on October 5 for the top five “graduated” meme tokens by market cap listed on its platform.
