After learning crypto basics for 7 days, I found that the most important thing is not “finding a 100x coin”

I learned the basics of the crypto world for exactly 7 days.

This week I started learning from the most fundamental stuff:

Day 1: What is Binance Alpha?

Day 2: What’s the difference between an exchange and a wallet?

Day 3: What does “shitcoin” mean?

Day 4: What exactly is a contract address?

Day 5: What’s the difference between Alpha and a formal listing?

Day 6: When a coin suddenly surges, which data should you check first?

Day 7: If a coin suddenly surges, can you still chase it?

Before, I thought the most important thing in learning crypto was:

Finding the next 100x coin.

But now I feel it might be completely the opposite.

For beginners, the most important thing might be to first learn:

① Don’t chase just because you see a surge

② Don’t believe just because you see a contract address

③ Don’t treat Alpha as Binance’s endorsement

④ Don’t only look at price—look at trading volume and liquidity

⑤ Don’t interpret “others made money” as “you can make money too”

I’m still far from truly understanding the crypto world.

But at least, I’ve gone from “seeing a coin and only asking if it can go up” to:

“What is it? Why is it rising? Who is buying it? What’s the liquidity like? Where are the risks?”

I think this might be the real first step in learning.

7 days is just the beginning.

Next, I’m getting ready to do analysis using real coins to see whether I can truly understand a coin.

Do any friends have recommendations for which coins I should look at? Send them to me so I can take a look.
