Opening a trade was because China’s top leader is visiting the U.S. There were reports saying that some business owners from within China would be taken along on the trip, and that Lei would be included. The expectation was that it would be beneficial, so I opened a trade to bet on the outcome. But at the U.S. state dinner during the visit, I didn’t see the domestic entrepreneurs or Lei—so I should have cut the loss.
I made two mistakes:
1. Trading based on the “game” news (the credibility of this kind of news is very low)
2. I didn’t cut the loss when I was wrong (this is the biggest mistake)
