Did you notice? $GTC surged straight up by 59% last night—this isn’t a minor move.

With a trading volume of 24.7M and a 60% gain, it’s clearly being pushed by big players. I looked around in my circle and couldn’t find any decent positive news. Instead, the order book shows sell orders being slammed down hard. This kind of move is most likely a coordinated self-directed performance by the market maker: first pump the price to attract breakout buyers who chase, and then… you know what happens.

If you’re thinking of chasing longs, I advise you to stay calm. The purpose of a market maker pumping is never to give you money. Once you chase in and they hit you with a sell-off, you probably won’t be able to get out within a short time. Where should you set your stop loss? Above the high of the upper shadow—0.21. If it breaks, it means they’re pushing up to distribute. The risk-reward ratio just isn’t worth it.

Also, regarding $NFP, the -65% drop is downright alarming. The volume of 3.8M isn’t especially huge, which suggests this isn’t a panic stampede to get out—it looks more like the project team or early holders are dumping with no regard for cost. With a sell-off like this, the likelihood of fundamental bad news is high: either something went wrong internally, or it’s a direct Rug.

I didn’t pay attention to these two altcoins before, and I definitely won’t touch them now. Big BTC is only up 0.87%, holding around 85,600—these smaller coins are playing out their own script.

In a situation like this, if an altcoin is still being pumped, do you think there’s really an opportunity—or is it just a trap to lure people in?
