Have you noticed? $GTC , this big bullish candle, seems a bit off.
It’s up nearly 60 points, with volume of 24 million dollars—this size is pretty big among small coins. But when I looked into it, there’s no real positive catalyst, and nothing big has happened recently. This is a classic case of the “whales” hyping it themselves: first they push the price up to grab attention, and once the retail crowd rushes in, they start distributing. I’ve suffered a loss like this before—seeing a huge bullish candle, I chased it, and I ended up getting buried. So this move from $GTC , I definitely won’t chase. If it rebounds that fast, something is definitely going on.
Also, $NFP—bang, it dropped 65% in a blink, and the price got cut straight down to ankle level.
This kind of drop isn’t a normal pullback. It means either the project’s fundamentals broke, or big money has already fled. Volume of 3.8 million dollars doesn’t look huge, but in this kind of shitcoin project, that’s already an enormous volume. Some people think “it fell enough, so it must be an opportunity.” I’d caution you not to think that way— a shitcoin that’s down 90% can still drop another 90%.
BTC, on the other hand, is holding steady. Around 85,500 there’s low-volume consolidation, and funding is still positive—longs haven’t given up. But “BTC is steady” doesn’t mean “small coins are safe.” Market sentiment is very fragmented right now. Either you trade BTC, or stay in cash and watch—don’t get itchy and try to catch falling knives.
What do you think—this small-coin anomaly is a bear-market signal, or just normal shakeout?
