$BNB This morning I touched 809.99; it’s the highest since February. The daily MACD hasn’t generated a golden cross yet. Price is making new highs, but momentum hasn’t caught up. Because of that, I’m not too confident about chasing this new high.
Between 10:00 and 11:00, it surged from 799.5 straight to 809.99. Contract OI (open interest) increased from 612,200 to 620,300 contracts, and I chased 8,000 of them. Then at 11:00 it was dumped back down to 792. OI shed nearly 6,000 contracts. The aggressive buy/sell ratio was 0.60, and the chasing-high orders were basically washed out. The retail long/short ratio, after peaking at 2.16, fell to 2.08, then rebounded to 2.13—someone is catching the dip. The big-player positioning long/short ratio has stayed around 1.44 and hasn’t moved.
Daily Keltner Channel (EMA20, ATR20×1.5): middle band 767.3, upper band 801.4, lower band 733.3. This pin pierced through the upper band by more than 8 points, then pulled back and returned into the channel. Daily MACD (12,26,9): DIF 16.94, DEA 17.90, histogram -0.96. On the day of September 21 when it surged to 807.49, DIF was 24.30 and daily RSI was 72.4. Today the price is 2.5 points higher, but DIF is down by more than 7 points, and RSI is only 62.7. The daily hasn’t closed yet, so the numbers can change, but the divergence is still there.
4H KDJ (9,3,3): K 57.6, D 68.7, J 35.3. After that 4H pinbar close, K immediately crossed below D, and J dropped from 93.6 to 35.3.
The structure hasn’t broken: daily lows 750.47 → 760.35 → 782.15, stepping higher one after another, and the highs are also rising. Below, 782–786 is the October 4 low plus the 4H EMA12 (786.6). If the daily closes below 782.15, then that breaks. Then we’d look at 760. Above, 801–806 aligns with the daily Keltner and Bollinger upper bands. Only a close above 807.49 counts as a real breakout.
I lean toward this pin sweeping the stop-losses above the September high—first a pullback to 782–786. Only after it holds there would it have the qualification to push again toward 810. What do you think—was this a washout before the breakout, or the first shot of a top divergence?
