In September 2026, there were 61 publicly disclosed financing projects in the crypto sector, down 1.6% month-over-month and down 35.1% year-over-year; the total funding amount was approximately $1.269 billion, up 71.1% month-over-month and down 79.2% year-over-year.

In this issue, the disclosed financing and strategic investments in the crypto sector still primarily focus on projects related to financial services, covering areas such as perpetual contract trading, institutional trading, stablecoin payments, prediction markets, corporate finance, and DePIN, among others.

According to incomplete statistics by PANews, last week (9.28–10.4) saw 10 blockchain industry investment and financing events worldwide, with a total funding amount exceeding $159 million. The main financing events are as follows:

  • PERPTools discloses two rounds of fundraising totaling $80 million;

  • Fintech company Jeeves completes a $110 million Series C round, led by CoinFund, with participation from a16z, Coinbase Ventures, and others;

  • Crypto enterprise banking platform Limited completes a $18.5 million seed round, with DCG and others participating;

  • Raven receives strategic funding from Coinbase Ventures and CMCC Global, valuing it at $90 million

In terms of AI funding, capital is still concentrating on both the model side and the infrastructure side. SoftBank completes its $10 billion investment in OpenAI; AI infrastructure company Helix Digital Infrastructure receives a $1 billion investment from the Samsung Group; AI-native cloud platform GMI Cloud completes $668 million in funding

Additionally, in the first half of 2026, China recorded 1,255 AI-related investment and financing deals, totaling about RMB 250.14 billion, reaching 78.0% and 182.0% of the full-year 2025 figures, respectively.

PERPTools discloses two rounds of fundraising totaling $80 million and plans a TGE in Q4

PERPTools, an AI perpetual trading platform built by DEXTools developers, has raised $8 million through two rounds of token financing, including a $3 million seed pre-round and a $5 million seed round. Participating investors include BigBrain Holdings, NEAR, Animoca Brands, Sfermion, and Shima Capital. The platform plans to conduct its TGE in Q4 2026.

HyperLink, the broker of Hyperliquid, completes a $2.5 million funding round, with Alliance and others participating

HyperLink, the main broker protocol for decentralized exchange Hyperliquid, announces completion of a $2.5 million funding round. Investors include Alliance, North Island Ventures, Reverie, Node Capital, Breed, and smartestmoney.hl.

HyperLink aims to provide users with low fees, private transaction flows, and the best execution paths by aggregating trading volume and unlocking VIP rates via staking. Data shows that last month the platform routed $254 million in trading volume, accounting for 0.1% of Hyperliquid’s total trading volume. The protocol is currently invitation-only and has already captured 1% of Hyperliquid’s builder trading volume.

Fintech company Jeeves completes a $110 million Series C round

Miami fintech company Jeeves completes a $110 million Series C round, led by CoinFund, with participation from a16z, Coinbase Ventures, AllianceBernstein, and others. The funds will be used to build stablecoin wallet infrastructure, automate AI agents, and expand instant payments services to more than 25 countries. The company says that around 50% to 60% of its international payments are currently settled via stablecoins such as USDC and EURC.

Payments infrastructure Walapay completes a $4.6 million seed round

Payments infrastructure Walapay announces completion of a $4.6 million seed round, led by Gen Venture Capital, with participation from Commerce Ventures, Polygon, AAF Management, Verda Ventures, NGC Ventures, FGV Capital, JSquare, Reflexive, Big Brain VC, and others. Walapay says this round of funding will be used to obtain more licenses, expand banking partnerships, and grow the team.

Raven receives strategic funding from Coinbase Ventures and CMCC Global, valuing it at $90 million

Raven completes a strategic funding round involving Coinbase Ventures and CMCC Global, with a pre-investment valuation of $90 million. Raven was founded in 2023, initially as a crypto high-frequency market maker; starting in Q2 2025 it expanded into prediction markets, providing institutional market-making services for platforms such as Kalshi and Polymarket, as well as other non-U.S.-compliant or on-chain platforms. Raven has provided liquidity for more than 3,000 contracts across categories including sports, cryptocurrencies, macroeconomics, and entertainment. Charlie Morris, co-founder of CMCC, will join Raven’s board of directors to help the company expand among institutional clients. The specific amount of the funding has not been disclosed.

Crypto enterprise banking platform Limited announces completion of a $18.5 million seed round, led by Third Prime, North Island Ventures (NIV), The House Fund, and Collab+Currency. ParaFi Capital, Pharsalus Capital, Digital Currency Group (DCG), 1982 Ventures, and Onigiri Capital also participate.

As far as is known, Limited is a global financial platform for multinational enterprises that integrates local business accounts, Visa cards, payments, treasury and expense management, and crypto infrastructure. Businesses can send and receive payments via local rails such as ACH, SEPA, Pix, and SWIFT, and it also supports sending and receiving crypto assets like BTC, ETH, and USDC.

Brazil fintech company NG.CASH completes a $15 million strategic funding round, led by Blockchain Capital

Brazil fintech NG.CASH completes a $15 million strategic funding round, led by Blockchain Capital. Since its founding in 2021, the company’s total funding has exceeded $65 million. NG.CASH holds two licenses issued by the Central Bank of Brazil—direct credit company and payment institution—and is applying for a virtual asset service provider license. Since 2021, NG.CASH has surpassed 10 million accounts, and platform transaction volume has reached several billions of dollars.

DTCC makes a strategic investment in iCapital

The U.S. Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) and iCapital announce a strategic partnership to jointly advance private market infrastructure. DTCC will also make a strategic investment in iCapital. The two sides will integrate DTCC’s market infrastructure, processing capabilities, and network with iCapital’s technology platform and investment workflows, connecting data, operations, and market participants across the private investment lifecycle and reducing operational friction. As an initial area of cooperation, the two plan to further integrate DTCC’s alternative investment products (AIP) with iCapital’s alternative investment platform, and to explore technologies such as blockchain DLT and tokenization in private markets. Talia Klein, Head of Wealth and Investment Solutions at DTCC, will join the iCapital board of directors as an observer.

Multicoin Capital announces it has invested in the DePIN project Grass

Multicoin Capital general partner Shayon Sengupta posts that its hedge fund and venture capital funds have invested in the DePIN project Grass. Grass recruits contributors worldwide to share idle bandwidth through crypto-incentive mechanisms, building a decentralized network and providing pre-trained data for AI frontier labs. Over the past 18 months, Grass has served multiple labs. Grass generated $17 million in revenue in 2025 and the first half of 2026, respectively, and expects that full-year revenue from its training-data business alone could reach $75 million, with the business already profitable. Social finance platform KIVO secures $5 million in early-stage funding from BitBT Ventures

BitBT Ventures said in a post on X that it has provided $5 million in early funding to social finance platform KIVO. KIVO is building a social finance ecosystem, connecting social, trading, payments, digital assets, and emerging financial products through a single consumer app.

BitBT Ventures said it supports KIVO in building a social layer and full-stack SocialFi infrastructure for next-generation users. The relevant content is posted on its social media accounts and mentions the KIVO account KivoSocialLayer.

Helix Digital, an AI infrastructure company, receives a $1 billion investment from the Samsung Group

Helix Digital Infrastructure, a U.S. AI infrastructure company, announces it has received a $1 billion investment from the Samsung Group. Companies under Samsung Group—including Samsung Electronics, Samsung SDS, Samsung SDI, and others—participated. Helix was jointly established this June by KKR together with the Kuwait Investment Authority, Nvidia, and U.S. power producer Vistra. It is operated by former Amazon Web Services CEO Adam Selipsky. Its business covers semiconductors, data centers, cloud computing, and finance. This investment will also help Samsung Group further expand its presence in the AI infrastructure market.

AI-native cloud platform GMI Cloud completes $668 million in funding, with Nvidia participating

AI-native cloud platform GMI Cloud announces completion of $668 million in funding, including $223 million in B-round equity financing and $445 million in credit financing. The investment company ARCHIV leads the round, with Nvidia (NVIDIA) participating. The company says its inference platform processes about 4 trillion tokens per week. Customers include Fireworks, Nous Research, OpenRouter, Trend Micro, and others.

AI assistant startup Instinct completes a $1 billion Series C round, with investors including Sequoia Capital, Benchmark Capital, and Coatue. The valuation reaches $10 billion. This is just one month after the company announced it raised funding at a $2.5 billion valuation.

Instinct is a new consumer-grade AI agent that can not only answer questions and chat, but also complete real tasks for users—such as booking trips and restaurants, shopping, paying bills, canceling subscriptions, doing research, and ordering groceries. Instinct communicates with users via SMS. It has no mobile app and has not published user data or growth metrics.

AI agent security company Reco secures another $55 million in funding, bringing total funding to $140 million

AI agent security company Reco announces $55 million in funding, with investment participation from AT&T’s investment arm, Forestay, Quadrille Capital, and others. Combined with the $30 million Series B round completed in February this year, Reco’s total funding reaches $140 million.

Reco’s platform uses a “context map” to link enterprise AI agents, applications, accounts, and permissions, helping security teams discover unauthorized agents and restrict their access to data. The company says it currently has 100+ customers and integrates with 280+ applications; its annual recurring revenue is in the tens of millions of dollars, and financial services customers account for about 40% of its business. The funding will be used for hiring, sales, partnerships, and customer support.

Physical AI chip company SiMa.ai completes a $150 million Series C round with a valuation of $1.45 billion

Physical AI chip company SiMa.ai announces completion of a $150 million Series C round. This round is co-led by Fidelity Management & Research Company and Amplify, with participation from Alter Venture Partners, Dell Technologies Capital, Maverick Capital, Point72, StepStone Group, and others. The company’s cumulative funding reaches $500 million, and its valuation rises to $1.45 billion. SiMa.ai says the funds will be used to scale its physical AI platform Palette Neat and to develop the next-generation dedicated physical AI chips, planned for release in the first half of 2028, with compute up to 1000 TOPS.

DIG Ventures completes fundraising for its third fund of $120 million, focused on Pre-seed and seed-stage AI infrastructure

Venture capital firm DIG Ventures announces that its third fund has completed $120 million in fundraising. Investors include Horsley Bridge, Sofina, Granite, and a donation fund from a top U.S. university, among others.

The fund will focus on AI-native enterprise software and cloud infrastructure startups at the pre-seed and seed stages, with an emphasis on infrastructure areas that support AI-native software development, such as data, identity verification, compliance, and orchestration. The fund plans to serve as the lead investor in most funding rounds; capital deployment has already begun.
