BINANCE BRAZIL STARTS TIGHTENING CROSS-BORDER CRYPTO FLOW VERIFICATION FROM 1/11

From 1/11/2026, Binance users in Brazil who deposit/withdraw crypto across borders will be required to provide additional information under new regulations from the Central Bank of Brazil.

- Incomplete information = cannot process: withdrawal transactions will not be handled yet, and deposited crypto may be held pending additional information or returned to the sender.

- You must declare where the money is going and what it’s for: users need to provide the transaction purpose along with the sender/recipient information. If the transaction is between businesses, you must also declare the relationship between the two companies.

- Even transferring your own coins must be declared: for example, if you have BTC on Binance Brazil and then transfer it to your own account on an exchange abroad, it is still considered a cross-border transaction and you must provide information.

- $100K per transaction limit in some cases: if the sender or recipient is not an entity authorized to operate foreign exchange in Brazil, each cross-border crypto transaction will be capped at a maximum of $100K.

- Binance must report monthly data to the Central Bank of Brazil: i.e., crypto is gradually being incorporated into the money-flow monitoring system. The reporting roadmap is expected to continue expanding to include domestic transactions from 2027 and international transactions from 2028.
