Stay on the sidelines for short-term price action; don’t chase intraday rebounds. $GTCUSDT is still listed on Binance USDT Perpetuals’ gainers board at #1, but this time the change worth watching isn’t continued upside confirmation—it’s the noticeable pullback after the sharp spike. At 11:01 (Beijing time), a full scan covered 526 contracts within the specified range. The rolling 24-hour price increase for GTC is +71.143%. One minute later, the single-coin snapshot dropped to +64.378%, with a price of $0.18841. The 24-hour quoted trading volume is about $287.4 million. The market is still changing rapidly—compare the two time points separately.

Compared with the previous GTC analysis published at 10:17 on this account, the snapshot then was +105.408%, at $0.23322, with quoted volume of $255.3 million. By 11:02, the gain window shrank by 41.03 percentage points; the price was down by about 19.2%, yet the quoted volume increased by roughly 12.6%. Both figures use the rolling 24-hour window, not the post’s profit. High turnover coexisting with a price pullback suggests rotation is still happening, but it doesn’t directly prove support or net inflows.

The hourly structure shows the changes more directly: the full hour 09:00–10:00 closed at $0.23675. The hour 10:00–11:00 closed at $0.19433—down about 17.9% in that hour—with trading volume around $37.44 million, which is about 2.2% higher than the prior hour’s $36.63 million. The current price near 11:02 is about $0.18841, below the just-completed hourly close, and the 11:00–12:00 hour hasn’t ended yet—so you can’t treat the intraday reading as a completed close confirmation. The current 4-hour K-line for 08:00–12:00 is also not complete; $0.17020 to $0.24570 can only be regarded as the intraday high-low range.

The number of open contracts fell from about 56.70 million at 10:00 to about 51.43 million at 11:00, a drop of roughly 9.3%. This happened alongside the price pullback, indicating the total open interest contracted—but it’s impossible to tell from this alone who (buyers or sellers) reduced positions. The latest settled funding rate is still the 08:00 value at -0.58763%; the next settlement is at 16:00. A negative funding rate can’t offset the weakness of the hourly close, and you also can’t conclude a short squeeze from it.

On the Gitcoin governance page, a proposal dated October 1 is recently visible: to lower the Snapshot voting threshold from 2.5 million GTC to 1.5 million. That is a governance proposal; there’s no evidence to establish causality between it and this round of hour-level sharp selloff. What to focus on now is whether a complete hour can reclaim 0.19433 and the prior hour’s close at 0.23675. If price keeps closing lower, the earlier upswing structure needs to be reassessed. If it quickly recovers, you’ll still need confirmation from trading activity and the 4-hour close. Right now it looks more like an unconfirmed state within a high-volatility pullback, not automatic continuation of gains from the #1 spot.
