U.S. stocks rise broadly as the S&P 500 hits a new high at 7,722.72 points

Overnight, U.S. stocks rose across the board. The S&P 500 index reached a new high at 7,722.72 points, up 0.73%. The Nasdaq Composite rose to 27,190.86 points, up 1.19%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average edged up 0.49% to 51,176.96 points.

By contrast, China’s A-share market was relatively steady today. The Shanghai Composite rose slightly to 3,842.19 points, up 0.31%; the Shenzhen Component Index (SZCI) fell modestly; and the ChiNext Index (创业板指) also dipped slightly, down 0.23% to 3,135.28 points.

On the individual stock front, stock 600519 stood out today, rising 1.86% and leading the sector higher.

Overall, the strong performance in U.S. stocks is expected to have a positive impact on A-shares, but investors should be mindful of the pullback pressure on the Shenzhen Component.
