This run isn’t simple

$GTC suddenly jumped 88%—everyone in the group was freaking out. My first reaction was to check the trading volume—16.6M. That volume isn’t something retail investors can smash out. Either the whales are self-trading (a coordinated pump), or there really is some good news. But I looked around and didn’t see any legit headlines—official Twitter is silent, which feels more like manipulation and a controlled pull.

Honestly, I’ve always been afraid to chase coins that suddenly explode like this. Last time I chased something similar, it buried me 40% within half an hour. The purpose of a whale-led pull is basically one thing—find bag-holders to take the exit.

Let’s talk about what crashed, too. NFP was down -65%, VIC -43%, VANRY -37%—one night and it turned into a bloodbath. This kind of drop isn’t a normal pullback. Either the project team ran away, or the derivatives cascade liquidation chain also dragged spot down. I had a position in VANRY before; seeing this kind of drop, I cut immediately. Holding on would’ve just been torture.

Now $BTC is holding around 86,800 and is up 2.45%, which suggests BTC is fine. The problem is these smaller coins—without any news catalyst, they rely entirely on capital to pull up, and when they start falling, there’s basically no bottom.

So tell me—are pumps like $GTC with no volume suddenly surging really an opportunity, or is it a clear signal for a staged liquidation/harvest?
