Deep Tide TechFlow message, October 05: Aptos Governance Proposal #206 is currently being voted on. It proposes enabling ChunkyDKG V1 full mode and the encrypted_transactions feature. This mechanism will use distributed key generation to support encrypted transactions, hiding their contents before they enter consensus ordering, and then having validators collaborate to decrypt them afterward. This helps reduce frontrunning and MEV risks. The proposal vote ends on October 6. Currently, the approval rate is close to 100%, but the voter turnout is only 2.69%, which has not yet met the quorum requirement of 24.8%.
