Why take the spot-trading route? My personal abilities are limited, and my mindset isn't great—I can't handle big swings. People who haven't traded futures don't understand the pain of getting stuck in a position against you (being trapped). After many people get liquidated, it's almost a form of relief—it’s just too hard to endure. There are many “breakout winners” in futures, but there are also many who end up losing everything and going bankrupt. So act within your means and think it through carefully—by now, we’re all adults. Many people feel their original intention in trading futures was simply to make a bit of money to cover daily expenses, earn some and get out. But as you play, you become unwilling to stop. You taste the sweetness: at first, being happy with making a few dozen a day, then a few hundred, and later thousands or tens of thousands. The more you make, the less satisfied you become, and the greedier you get. Human nature is greed and fear. Your position size keeps increasing, and with one wrong move, it’s game over. Of course, this isn’t a recommendation for everyone not to trade futures—everyone has their own fate, and each person’s choice is different. Right now, I just want to do things within my capability: earn less, but also potentially lose less. I don’t seek to become wildly wealthy—only to live without regret. As for longer-term, I plan to do regular DCA into mainstream coins, like BTC, BNB, ETH, BNB, SOL, DOGE, and so on. Futures and altcoins are just for entertainment.
