📈 When the market turns dark… the trader’s vision is tested

In that dark night,
the moon is missed, O dreams…

Not because the moon is absent,
but because darkness teaches us
that things don’t reveal their worth to us
while they’re still here.

And in trading too…
We don’t know the value of an uptrend
until the market enters the darkness of correction.
We don’t recognize the value of an opportunity
until it’s already behind us.
And we don’t understand the meaning of patience
until we see a candle take off without us.

We don’t lose the price when it leaves,
but we lose that version of ourselves
who could see it before everyone else.

Perhaps that’s why a trader chases the peak…
because they can’t see the moon
until it’s complete,
and can’t see the value of the opportunity
till it has passed.

O dreams…
Maybe the most painful kind of loss
is when the opportunity is right before your eyes,
and the market is bright,
but fear and greed turn your sight into darkness.

In trading…
We don’t chase the moon once it’s complete,
we don’t run after a candle
once it has left its station.

Rather, we learn to see the light
before everyone else does,
and to wait for confirmation
when the fog spreads.
For not all darkness is an ending…
and not every rise is an opportunity.

Opportunity isn’t always in a rising price.
And sometimes the most beautiful trading decision
is to sit calmly…
