Bitcoin’s recovery above $85,000 is facing a demand test after expectations of another Federal Reserve rate hike fell sharply. According to NS3.AI, Bitcoin traded at $85,276 around press time, up 0.83% over 24 hours but still below the pre-payroll $86,000 area.
Glassnode said the strongest burst of forced buying came eight hours before Friday’s jobs release, while Bitcoin pulled back after the data was released. Farside Investors recorded $102 million in U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF inflows on Oct. 1, but incomplete Friday figures left the post-payroll fund response unclear.
Monday’s services data and the following ETF sessions are expected to show whether lower rate-hike expectations are being matched by sustained buying.
