The crypto world didn’t have a quiet weekend at all. The second oil tanker through the Strait of Hormuz was blown up; the U.S. defense secretary still insists—mouthy as ever—that the blockade is “ironclad.” On the other side, OPEC+ has, in principle, agreed not to increase production in November. The risk premium in oil prices is essentially maxed out. What’s interesting is that this weekend, $BTC didn’t really fall in tandem—the market seems to have already treated the Middle East conflict as background noise.

What I care about more is Arthur Hayes’s take: if the AI credit segment can’t hold up, the bailout “water” will eventually flood into the crypto market, letting $BTC just win. I buy half of this logic—sure, the water will come—but the dip-buying capital has already been crouching right at the edge of the hole. Whether retail investors get a chance to catch it is another question.

One more detail: Tron Inc. (the one listed on Nasdaq) increased its holdings by 148,000 $TRX , bringing total holdings up to 717 million coins. They hoard tokens even more diligently than we hoard USD. Tokenized stocks on $SOL are also accelerating—on-chain direct purchases of U.S. stocks have kept going right through the weekend.

Geopolitics is one thing; on Sunday night, don’t get carried away. Controlling your position size is stronger than anything else.
