◆ Next Week · Oct 05–Oct 09

Bonsoir. Welcome to Wall Street High Wealth Invest Channel.
Good evening. Here are the major events for next week (Beijing time).

【Key Takeaway】
Next week’s focus is earnings season starting with the consumer and travel segments. PepsiCo’s and Delta’s guidance will come before the macro data, helping set the tone for consumer momentum. Our basic view is that demand is still slowing, but has not yet stalled.

【Earnings】
· 10-08 PEP (Pepsico, Inc.) Pre-market|Market cap $171B
· 10-09 DAL (Delta Air Lines, Inc.) Pre-market|Market cap $55B

【What to Watch】
We will focus on PepsiCo’s pre-market results on October 8 and Delta’s pre-market results on October 9. Their market caps are $171B and $55B respectively. The former is a sample of pricing power in essential consumption, while the latter is a leading indicator for discretionary consumption and service demand. If guidance comes in stronger than expected, it would suggest consumer resilience remains; Treasury yields may rise and the DXY could stay firm, putting pressure on U.S. stock valuations. In that scenario, BTC—an asset with higher beta—could actually benefit as risk appetite rebounds. If guidance falls short of expectations, risk-off sentiment may intensify; Treasury yields could fall and the DXY may weaken, pressuring U.S. stocks while BTC could drop in tandem. Under the framework of the Fed staying Hawkish with sticky inflation, we are more inclined to treat any “Ral” as a signal that needs verification rather than confirmation of a trend.

【Positioning Recommendation】
Maintain a neutral-to-defensive positioning next week, and do not increase leverage. Do not chase price before earnings are released. Use limit orders to build positions in batches at key levels. If Delta’s guidance is clearly below expectations, first reduce exposure to discretionary consumption while keeping cash available for a better asymmetry.
