A few signals before the meme token starts gaining momentum

I only pay attention if the meme has independent buying demand. If not, I treat it as just volatility.

First, check whether the leader token has volume. Then see if small-cap coins are brave enough to follow.

BONK 0.00000383 (+5.80%), WIF 0.2478 (+1.39%), PEPE 0.00000428 (+1.18%), SHIB 0.0000057 (+0.71%)

For comparison: BTC 85088 (24h +0.54%).

BONK’s 24h +5.80% is clearly stronger than BTC’s +0.54%, and it has independent buying demand. But DOGE is only +0.57%—the sector isn’t resonating. I trade the leader only; I don’t entertain the fantasy of catching a laggard rebound.

BTC is still at 85088 (+0.54%). If BTC doesn’t break above 85,769, I treat the “right-side” meme action as noise.

The switch for memes is BTC: if BTC doesn’t hold above 85,196, then I don’t consider the small-cap coins’ gains as a sector move.
