[On-chain, there’s an unusual signal—are big funds quietly repositioning?]

Let me share a pattern I’ve noticed.

Right now, BTC is around $ 84800. In the past 24 hours it’s only up 0.3%, and over a week just 0.5%. If you look only at the numbers, it’s utterly boring. But once you pull up the trading volume, it’s so low it sends a chill down the spine.

So what does this mean? Bulls don’t want to chase, while bears don’t dare to smash. Everyone is waiting.

The other day, when the US employment data came out, BTC surged instantly to $ 87K—then got knocked back. The level $ 87000 feels like there’s an invisible wall there, with only a few hundred points of room to breathe, tightly capped. But if you think about it carefully: what exactly counts as “good news” for BTC when employment is weak?

When this plays out in real life, it affects two groups of people.

First: US local institutions and retail investors. If bond yields start falling and the returns of traditional stock-and-bond portfolios get squeezed, they’re forced to look for yield elsewhere. This batch of money coming in is what gives BTC a real chance to break out.

Second: old money holding big chips. What are they looking at now? They’re watching whether macro signals can stay in place. If the US economy truly starts to slide, and expectations for USD credit loosen—that’s the core logic for BTC. But right now, employment data is only weak for a month; that’s not enough to prove the problem.

Does the business logic hold?

My view is: it’s still missing one confirmation. If over the next one or two weeks the employment data keeps deteriorating and bond yields continue to trend lower, that wall at $ 87K will be gradually worn through, giving BTC a chance to challenge $ 90000. But if it’s just one-off data noise, then what’s happening now is basically distribution at high levels.

Support at $ 82800, resistance at $ 86700.

My signal is—stay on the sidelines, and move only after the breakout is confirmed.

What about you? Do you think this time can really break out, or will it keep grinding?
