October 2: Tether (the USDT issuer) supports Utexo (the Bitcoin stablecoin issuer) planning to issue USDT on the Bitcoin network this month. As of today, it’s still being treated as a positive for the ecosystem and is being digested.

Under the RGB protocol (a Bitcoin off-chain assets protocol), most transaction data is stored off-chain. The first wave of infrastructure is being provided first to exchanges, wallets, and payment providers, with API, SDK, and cloud options available as well. In the near term, it’s more like B2B infrastructure for laying pipes—the on-chain liquidity won’t appear immediately.

There’s room for imagination with privacy transfers, but implementation is still far off. Bitcoin is currently around $84,700, and so far this news has limited impact on price. The only point that can be verified next is this: whether major exchanges or wallets publicly provide access. If not, the hype will fade within a few days.
