Markets will focus on the Federal Reserve's policy path, Middle East and energy policy, and dollar liquidity after a weaker-than-expected nonfarm payrolls report and a rebound in long-dated U.S. Treasury yields. According to PANews, the coming week includes several scheduled data releases and Fed events, all listed in UTC +8.

On Monday at 5:00 p.m., the eurozone will release August producer price index data. At 10:00 p.m. Monday, the U.S. ISM non-manufacturing PMI for September is due. On Tuesday at 10:45 p.m., Fed Governor Michelle Bowman is scheduled to speak. On Wednesday, the size of the U.S. 20- to 30-year Treasury buyback operation is pending.

On Thursday at 2:00 a.m., the Federal Reserve will publish the minutes of its September policy meeting. At 3:00 a.m. Thursday, U.S. consumer credit data for August is due. At 8:30 p.m. Thursday, the U.S. weekly initial jobless claims report for the week ending October 3 will be released.

The U.S. third-quarter earnings season has not officially begun, and bank stocks usually lead in mid-October, leaving next week with a rare earnings gap. Before the traditionally strong fourth quarter for U.S. stocks, long-term yields, the midterm elections, and earnings will be three key variables.
