【ZEC’s pullback—honestly, I’m not surprised】
I said before: a chart like $ZEC —highly manipulated—means the crazier the rally, the bigger the room for a subsequent retracement. Looking back now, it’s starting to look more and more like what we assessed back then.
Earlier, it surged from a few hundred dollars to nearly $1,700, pushing both sentiment and capital to extremes. Now, the spot ETF’s first weekly net outflow has appeared at $93.6 million, and ZEC has fallen more than 20% from its high. At this point, explaining the move again with “institutions continue to show strong interest” feels a bit forced.
What I care about more is whether real money comes back in afterward. If the ETF keeps seeing outflows and spot demand can’t catch up, this pullback may not be over yet. On the other hand, if funds resume steady inflows, that would indicate someone is actually willing to absorb this correction.
Back then I didn’t play it, and I’m not interested in catching falling knives now. With this move in ZEC, let’s first see how it squeezes out the earlier bubble.
