Read the single-day net outflow of the ZEC spot ETF as “capital retreat”—that interpretation is backwards. If there were $26.9347 million in redemptions in one day, does that really prove that someone is exiting?

On the U.S. East Coast time of October 2, the Zcash ETF (ZCSH) recorded a single-day net outflow of $26.9347 million.

The ZEC spot ETF’s total net asset value is $751 million, with a net asset ratio of 3.46%.

$26.9347 million is less than 3.6% of the ETF’s total assets of $751 million.

The historically cumulative net inflow is still showing $213 million, so the direction hasn’t flipped.

For retail investors holding ZEC, the figures on this day only indicate that someone redeemed once; they don’t show that someone is leaving.

If, over the next few days, the net outflow continues to expand—pressing the total assets down from $751 million—or if the cumulative net inflow of $213 million falls back, then this conclusion would be invalid.
